James
Fox
Full
of northern promise, this Mancunian is currently on a
cultural exchange in London. Previously known as Strategy,
hes trod a steady path through years of graft on
the dj circuit thats led him to a definite personal
style. Having enjoyed his dj sets and radio shows its
a joy to be able to show him off a bit on the label. We're
not the only ones to have noticed either, with releases
on Myuzyk out now and Take Records soon.

Owain
is a new kid to releasing tunes, but it doesnt really
show. Merging beats, rhythms and melodies from dance music
that was around a long time before he was, with influences
of broken beat, glitch, ragga and the huge heaviness of
old school dub sound systems this ep is going to seriously
mash up some heads.

Clodhoppa
Having
seen releases under the guises of ebb and kovacs (breakbeat)
and koro inu (dub based house business), and radio shows
on nuskoolbreaks.co.uk, breaks fm and now brap.fm with
dj sets up and down the country, Clodhoppa now presents
a full album of dub, jazz and drum and bass inspired broken
beat. Initially a solo project Phil is joined by Nino
and Kreecha for live forays, and the band will be foremost
as he gets down to writing the second album.

Koro
Inu
Originally
a side project for Phil Clodhoppa, now Koro Inu (Black
Dog in Japanese) is a two piece with Paul Holmes. Paul
is bringing his expertise and stylings to the project
and there are some tasty bits and pieces forming which
will be available soon. Always dubwise, whatever the chosen
genre, Koro Inu is about being experimental, not just
mental.

La
La & the Boo Ya
Martha
Cecilia and brother MeatEd have been pottering around
Bradford doing various parties, projects and music for
a while now, but have only recently sat down to create
something together. The result is La La and the Boo Ya.
Imagine if Lamb had been fed on ragga bass culture or
if the the Cookie Crew had grown up in Lee Perry's studio.
Now you have sort of an idea of what they sound like.
